This morning, developers unveiled their plans for The Independent, a 58-story, 685′ tall condo tower proposed for downtown Austin. When complete, it will become the city’s tallest structure and the tallest residential building west of the Mississippi River. The Austonian, which was completed in 2010, currently holds this distinction at 683 feet.
